SKINCARE ||Home made Spa Treatment.

Hello beauties,

Welcome to my blog again.  I apologise for not keeping to my schedule of Monday,  Wednesday and Friday. Working,  studying and blogging isn’t so easy but I will try my best not to let it happen again.

So today I’m doing a skincare post that I’ve planned for long but my busy schedule will not let me take pictures to accompany it.  So I decided that I was just going to go ahead and post it without enough pictures.

It is very easy to do a facial at home without necessarily spending so much.

A facial once in 15 days helps to improve complexion, increases blood circulation, rejuvenates the skin and relieves tension. So here is my simple routine for a simple facial at the comfort of your home.

Cleansing

The first step in giving yourself a facial is cleansing. Cleansing the face is very important. It’s important to use a cleanser that works for your skin. Recently I started using Extract face cleanser and I must say that I really love how clean it makes my face feel.

Exfoliating

The second step is to exfoliate. Exfoliation helps to remove dry skin cells on the surface.  Apply scrub to damp skin and massage gently focusing on forehead, chin and nose. Exfoliation helps to remove dead cells and improve skin textures. Regular exfoliation reduces fine lines and wrinkles and keeps your skin much softer and younger. The scrub I currently use is the Beauty Formula Honey and Almond Facial scrub.

Steaming

The third step is facial steaming. Steaming opens the pores and helps to release  toxins and impurities built up on the skin. Bring water to boil in a big bowl. With a towel forming a tent over your head, lower your face over the bowl of hot water and capture the steam. Steam for 10-15 minutes leaving a gap in between. Finish off by splashing cool water on your face.

Facial Mask

The next step is to apply Facial Mask. Choose mask according to your skin type. For oily skin, use mud or clay mask as it helps to absorb excess oil. For dry skin, use hydrating mask or creamy mask and  After 15 minutes, wash with plenty of water. I recommend the Mysha Face mask for all skin types.  This mask is good for all kinds of skin.  It doesn’t only hydrate your skin, it also reduces fine lines while making you skin look softer and younger.

Moisturizing

The last step is moisturizing the skin. All skin types need moisturizing. Choose moisturizer suited for your skin type. For oily skin choose a light moisturizer or water based  product. I have recently fallen in love with coconut oil because it’s just perfect for my oily skin.  It’s not greasy and I can really feel the impact on my skin. For dry skin use a heavier, oil-based moisturizer. For sensitive skin, avoid  moisturizer containing fragrances or acids.

Moisturizer also helps to protect your skin and maintain the texture.

So here we are!!! Facial without stress or too much money.
